Samira Iravani

is a New York native, freelance graphic designer and art director with a decade of experience in the publishing industry. She most recently worked as Associate Art Director with the Macmillan Children's Publishing Group. Prior to that she was an Associate Art Director at Clarion Books (an imprint of HarperCollins), and a member of the Penguin Young Readers design group.

She is also co-author of the picture book Mama Shamsi at the Bazaar (Dial), inspired by her mother’s childhood in Tehran, Iran.
